A HOUSE WARMING PRESENT FOR MY SISTER

Towards the end of last year I was approached by Logan and Mason asking me if they could send me some pieces from their new collections to style in my bedroom. At first I was like YES…love me some new fresh bedding, but then I had an even better idea!

My sister and her partner had just bought their first home. They were just setting up and only had the basics and coming from a flatting situation their stuff wasn’t the nicest! Knowing that they wouldn’t be able to afford to go out and buy brand new bed linen and cushions along with all the basics they were needing for their new place like couches and vacuum cleaners and of course that new mortgage I thought why not spoil them with a bit of a bedroom makeover and some luxurious new bedding for their bedroom.

Their home has a natural beachy, coastal vibe to it which matches their personalities and interests perfectly so instead of colour I went with texture as a bit of a theme for their space. First up I dug out some paint I had leftover from my place and we got rid of their charming pukey green feature wall.(see before photo at the end of this post) I found some prints and frames which I had spare at my house to give to them and then put together their new bedroom with the most luxurious, beautiful bedding that they probably have ever slept in…I was highly envious when making her bed, I wanted to take it all home with me!

If I can encourage you to do anything today it would be to go about doing a good thing for someone else. Brighten someone’s day. Do a good deed. Give back in some way, shape or form, even if it’s just a compliment. There is no better feeling you get than giving to others, whether its your time, your energy or even your new bedding.
