The day had finally come! We woke up to the most beautiful day yet on Mana Island with crystal clear skies and not a breath of wind!
We spent the morning relaxing and lounging around the pool keeping cool until lunchtime when I went back to our bure and started getting ready with my bridesmaids.
Now we had planned in advance for the heat and we came prepared! As we were doing our own make up we brought with us some face deodorant to wear underneath our make up to keep us nice and dry and stop the make up melting off our faces in the heat. Our photographers had also given us a brilliant tip of turning off the air conditioning in the room so that when we were all dressed and ready and stepped outside we didn’t get hit by the heat and start sweating up a storm!! While this was a tad uncomfortable, especially when we were getting our hair blow waved but no pain no gain!!
I also had a very grumpy little 4 year old who did not feel like wearing his wedding shirt today, instead he wanted to wear a lime green singlet…TYPICAL! a couple days later we realised he had pretty bad ear infections so that explained his mood. Anyway with a bag of lollies for bribery we got him dressed and looking as gorgeous as ever!
I had the incredibly talented Sam from Snow by Samantha Snow who is one of my very good friends there to do mine and my maids hair, my dress was custom design made by Nicola Dawson Design and I got all of my personalized gifts from Etsy. I did all the stationery for our day myself. Our stunning photos were captured by the extremely talented and beautiful Katrina and Warren from Williams Photography.
Isn’t he beautiful….I was very lucky to have this gorgeous man lead me down the Isle….If you want to see the rest of our wedding pop on over to the Ceremony Post.
