We made it! After weeks of blood, sweat and tears mixed with long days and a few long nights too we had brought our old little treasure into the 21’st century!
It is only once I see these before and afters together I realise how much work we did and what an amazing accomplishment it was.
We bought this house with a vision. We could see the potential. I looked past the horrific kitchen and dated light shades. I looked past the beige and buttercup colour scheme. We designed it all ourselves. We planned it all ourselves. We sourced everything ourselves. We did the majority of the work ourselves. To say that I am proud of what we have accomplished would be an understatement!!
So enough blabbering…Here is is. They aren’t quite the ‘before and afters‘, but more ‘Before and Durings‘, as we aren’t finished yet. Our house is, and probably will be for a long time, “a work in progress’
It looks pretty amazing….Don’t get me wrong it is nowhere near finished, the to do list is as long as my arm but it is still 100 times better than what we started with!
The to do list includes:
- splashback
- flooring
- kitchen kickboards
- cornices
- skirtings
- rangehood
