After months and months of planning and corresponding with Fiji (on fiji time none the less) to ensure our day was going to be as magical as we had dreamed of the time had finally come to jump on board a plane with 40 of our closest friends and family and whisk ourselves away to a week long celebration of love.
The best part about having our wedding in Fiji was that it was also a reunion. Family and friends from all over the world came together to celebrate with us. Friends who we hadn’t seen in years came from near and far. We had guests come from Canada, South Africa and Australia all to see Ryan and I tie the knot.
It was a week long affair of snorkelling amongst turtles and a shark, laying in the sun, swimming in the pools, lots of cocktails, sun and beach. It was absolute bliss. Other than our magical wedding day (which you can see here) we also had a once in a lifetime experience after our wedding when we went to trash my dress!
I was such a proud mummy! My 4 year old water baby took to snorkelling within 10 minutes. Once he mastered the art of keeping his mouth closed TIGHTLY around the snorkel he was away and laughing! It was a magical experience that not many 4 year olds get to experience. He snorkelled amongst the coral reefs seeing Nemo and Dory and all sorts of tropical fish, a turtle and even a white tip reef shark.
It was a magical time on Mana Island and we can’t wait to go back to Fiji. Anyway, enough of our holiday snaps…Time to share our BIG DAY with you as well as our TRASH THE DRESS SESSION!!
