Ahoy me hearties!
This year Kylan chose to celebrate Pirate style. I loved this idea! It allowed for lots of fun pirate theme opportunities. Treasure hunts, pirate ships, gold de blooms, and pirate costumes!
Honestly, I may be biased but isn’t that the cutest wee pirate you have ever seen. He has even mastered his “arrgghh me hearties” face
We carried the theme throughout the venue with Pirate balloons scattered around the garden, mini pirate flags in the chocolate cupcakes, a large pirate flag at the entrance along with stripy bunting. We did a treasure hunt with hidden gold, Some kids got way more than others so we put all the treasure in a bowl to share.
And of course a Pirate party would not be complete without a Pirate ship!
Kylan’s Pirate ship birthday cake was probably the most time consuming cake to date! It was fiddly and the end result was nowhere near perfect with railings flopping all over the show with the humidity but that was the perfectionist in me judging every little aspect of it.
Nothing a 4 year old would notice, and well worth every second to see his face when he first spotted it!
There are 4 canon holes in the side of the ship….this is where the 4 ‘canons’ will go!
We used 4 long silver birthday candles as the canons out of the side of the ship.
Happy fourth birthday to the coolest pirate I know.
You are loved by so many family and friends!
