4 already! how the time flies by.
On Kylan’s birthday this year we were heading up north with friends for the weekend once Ryan finished work. Obviously I jumped at the opportunity to recreate a cake that I had been eyeing up on pinterest to take with us and share with all his friends. Any excuse to make a cake!!
Anyway I will get to that later!
To celebrate Kylan’s 4th birthday we filled his room with balloons to surprise him when he woke up. He was spoilt to lots of lovely pressies, visits from family members, an extra special treat of maccas on the way up north (for us Mc Donalds is a once a year, if that occurrence)

Alrighty now back to the cake!
It was delicious!!! I did my trusty moist chocolate cake recipe and made a decadent milk chocolate ganache to go with it. As I said before I saw the original post for a ‘pigs in mud’ cake floating around the net and I just had to give it a go!!
As you can see the cake was a huge hit and I have a beautiful happy 4 year old whose happiness and laughter just lights up my life.
